There are a number of industries where the cost of keeping up to date with all of the latest advancements means ever increasing costs, and this is probably most clear when it comes to mobile phones. The handsets, and very often the contract that you have to sign up to in order to afford said handset, are spiralling further and further making the overall outlay that you end up paying extortionate. Add into this the vast array of options and add ons that are bundled in to the plan, and the cost will inevitably increase further still! Due to this, it is becoming clearer and clearer to many people: SIM only is the only way to go forward.
Many SIM only contracts offer a much more reasonable amount of time that you are locked into the contract at. With most phone and SIM contracts, you can expect standard terms of a 24 month contract. On the other hand, many SIM only contracts are offered on a rolling 30 day contract instead. What this means for the customer is that you have greater control of your mobile phone and of your general mobile usage. For example, if you are going away from home for a while within the next 30 days, you could update your plan to include more mobile data if you are anticipating that you may not have readily accessible Wi-Fi, or you can reduce the amount of minutes or texts that you have on your plan if you are planning to really escape from the stresses of home life. A SIM only contract gives you the control to make these changes rather than being stuck with the rigid nature of a regular 24 month contract, meaning that you are in charge of your plan without the long term commitment. Also with a SIM only contract, there are many smaller benefits that also add up to make it the only way to go forward. You are still eligible for all of the rewards and freebies that customers with regular contracts get as well, you don’t have to worry about losing your contacts or your phone number as this can all be set up just as a regular contract would, and you don’t have to worry about having a handset that is locked down to one network. If you find a better plan on another network you can just as easily switch your contract and just pop the new SIM into your very own unlocked phone and go from there. If you want to save money, you should go SIM only. If you want more flexibility, you should go SIM only. If you want the freedom to switch networks or handsets when it suits you, go SIM only. It really is the only way to go. |
